OpenDaylight Takes Beantown for OpenStack Boston 2017

We’re headed to Beantown on May 8-11, 2017 to participate in OpenStack Boston! With the help of additional Linux Foundation projects like FD.io, OPNFV and ONAP, open source networking will be on full display at the event. The conference will also offer a glimpse into 5G, machine learning, additional emerging technologies and a look at how OpenStack is working with OpenDaylight.

Connect with OpenDaylight at OpenStack Boston:

  • Monday, May 8 at 2:00 p.m.- 2:40 p.m.: The 5G Network: A Glimpse Into A Connected Future moderated by Phil Robb, VP of Networking & Orchestration and OpenDaylight Interim Executive Director.

  • Wednesday, May 10 at 3:30 p.m.- 4:10 p.m.: Going Beyond Siri: Applying Machine Learning to Network Automation presented by Dave Meyer, Chief Scientist, VP and Fellow at Brocade Communications.

  • Thursday, May 11 9:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Nirvana Stack Day- hosted by OpenDaylight: As the open source initiatives associated with networking--especially SDN controllers and the data plane--become increasingly abundant, it becomes necessary to take stock of the various options that can be brought together in meaningful ways. This workshop will discuss the benefits of both diversity and selectiveness in defining a so-called “Nirvana Stack” for open networking.  The recent emergence of orchestration initiatives such as ONAP, coupled with the Gluon Network Extensibility project in OpenStack, broadening use cases for the ODL controller, and the FD.io forwarding plane provide a compelling new set of options for meeting carrier needs.
  • Swing by the OpenDaylight booth C16 to see live demos, ask questions and engage with community leaders.

Be sure to follow #OpenSDN and @OpenDaylightSDN for updates from the show. Stay tuned for details on the OpenDaylight Community Dinner. We hope to see you there!
